The Brontës Treasury explores Britain’s best-loved literary family and the enduring popularity of their writing. It reveals why the Brontës’ novels have intrigued, inspired, and shocked millions since their publication more than 160 years ago, and how the sisters’ social world and surroundings influenced their art. Devoted fans will learn about the provenance of the surname Brontë, why the siblings all died so young, which sister became famous in her lifetime, and the passionate love that influenced Vilette.
