Animal Band...what you don't know...yet!

1) The tiger in the book plays a bagpipe because my ancestors are Irish.

2) The two dachshunds on the front cover, peeking around the house, are my family dogs, Dirk and Dan.

3) The dog running through the yard with a flute is my sister’s dog. She is a boxer.

4) The white cat on top of the house was my mother’s cat. Her name was dancer.

5) Thomas is based on a weird long-legged Chihuahua my family had. His name was Arthur.

6) Walter is a French bulldog, one of my favorite breeds of dogs.

7) The dog peeking over the fence on the back cover is my favorite dog I know. His name is Walter.

8) The little dog in the car in the end page is another dog I know. His name is Truck.

9) The house on the back cover is my great-grandparent’s house.

10) Rock plays a harmonica because my grandfather did.

11) Rock plays a trumpet because my brother played the trumpet.

12) I have a scar on my head from when a cuckoo clock fell on my head when I was two.

13) I have a diver like the one in the blue fish aquarium, in my aquarium at home.

14) I once found a bat in my yard. I called the animal control.
